Family in Dallas, TX

We have always wanted to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in our lives and really open to hear what He has to say. When God says move, we move.. When God says go, we go.. We have taken many steps over the past few years, and this is just one more.

We are leaving Dallas..

Over the past year we have been involved in an amazing church community called Fellowship Church. We have been blessed, challenged, and encouraged in our journey while we were here.. This next season we will be leaving Dallas, Tx but we hope to stay connected to Fellowship Church and the friends we have made here.. With FellowshipLive.com we will be able to do this a bit easier. We have been blessed not only by pastor Ed Young and his messages, but also by the entire Fellowship Church team. We as a family have grown so much just by serving and being a part of this team for the past year. I hope to be coming back year to year for the C3 Conference and seeing what God will do year after year.

We are heading back to California..

Over these past few years we have been in California, Australia, and Texas.. We have learned so much from the wonderful people God has placed in our path, so many of which are life-long friends. It will be hard to say goodbye to people again, but we are always excited about what God has next for us. As Brian Houston always says, “The best is yet to come.!”

Ever since my mom passed away a few years ago, you can read about it here, I have come to realize how important family is to me. We have been traveling and moving a lot, and really what we need is to settle down, become rooted and close to family. I know how important my wife and children are to me, but I haven’t really understood how important a our children’s grandparents and aunts and uncles are to them. When I was growing up I had most of my aunts, uncles, grandpas, and grandmas around all the time. It taught me the importance of a strong community, and support system. My family would have done anything for any of us, and many times in my life that have proved that. I want my children to have and experience that too.

The bottom line is, we miss our family..

Now more than ever, I understand that we need them. and they need us too. Our son, Josiah [age 5] and daughter, Promise [age 3], especially need family in their lives to get to know and spend time with them. They are getting to the age now where is it super important to build friendships and relationships with other kids and with family. Josiah is going to be going to School in the fall and whether he goes to traditional school or homeschool we want to be in a place that he can build a community.

California has been our community for a long time, and no matter where we go we are always going to have a love for the people and the communities we’ve been a part of.

Please pray for us.

On March 21st we are going to, yet again, pack up our car and start our journey back home..
